Tai Chi is a system of enhancing overall health. The health benefits of Tai Chi are widely recognized and are attributed to the way it creates balance in the individual both mentally and physically. Tai Chi is done in slow motion with great attention given to posture and structural alignment, balance, breathing, and moving with relaxation and ease. This induces a relaxed mental state where we experience an awareness not usually felt in our hectic sped – up lifestyle; an enhanced awareness of the internal and external self and world. Tai Chi has been called moving meditation. It is ideal for those looking for a mindful, less jarring form of movement. Come in and try a complimentary class.
Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:00 – 1:45 pm for beginners and 1:00 – 2:00 for Intermediate / Advanced Students beginning October 2nd. Check in with us about a possible evening class we are considering adding.
